Socialite Paris Hilton is spearheading a campaign to stop a herd of elephants killing themselves - after bingeing on alcohol. The hotel heiress was horrified to discover 40 of the animals were electrocuted after drinking rice-beer, which is brewed by locals in north-east India. And Hilton is now urging Indian residents to lock up their booze.
She says, "There would have been more casualties if the villagers hadn't chased them away. And four elephants died in a similar way three years ago. It is just so sad. The biggest problems are in Assam and Meghalaya. The elephants get drunk all the time. It is becoming really dangerous. We need to stop making alcohol available to them."

Paris Hilton dresses as a sexy prisoner for Halloween bash
Washington, Nov 2: Hotel heiress Paris Hilton took a dig at her stint at prison when she attended a Halloween bash at a Las Vegas club, by dressing as a sexy prisoner.
The 26-year old dressed as a sexy prisoner, with the word 'Jail Bait' adorned on her booty when she hosted LAX Nightclub bash on the occasion of Halloween.
Mitch Shrier, owner of West Hollywood shop Trashy Lingerie said that Hilton had bought a trashy Girl Scout costume, as she didn't fear making fun of herself.
"She has a great sense of humour. She's not afraid to make fun of herself," Us magazine quoted her, as saying.
Sources have revealed that the 'The Simple Life' star had bought 14 different outfits, which included a Cinderella, a pin-up girl and a sailor costumes.

Paris Hilton Sued for Stealing Style - Nicolle O'Neill Files Fashion Lawsuit
Paris Hilton is being sued by Nicolle O’Neill, who accused the heiress of stealing her style. This is by far one of the most bizarre legal incidences I’ve heard of this year!
O’Neill, who I had not heard of until today, says she has suffered psychological trauma and “emotional distress” as a result of the heiress knocking off her fashion sense, apparently copying her signature look. The L.A. woman also claims shopping in vintage stores was her idea.
“Nicolle claims Paris stole her fashion-related ‘patens’ [sic] and ‘stiling’ [sic] tips,” Pop Crunch said.
“She also accuses Paris of swiping several innovative style techniques, among them, exposing her ‘je-streeng underware (bikiny)’ [sic] and shopping in vintage stores.
“Nicolle is seeking several billion dollars in damages.”
No word on Hilton’s response yet, and no images found of the apparent the woman who apparently “inspires” her wardrobe either.

Paris Hilton postpones Rwanda charity trip, jets to Tokyo to judge beauty contest
TOKYO: American socialite Paris Hilton may not be ready for her planned charity work in Rwanda, but she was up for judging a beauty contest in Tokyo on Tuesday.
Hilton and her younger sister, Nicky, each chose one finalist for the Miss Universe Japan contest. A dozen or so more will be selected next month.
"I love Tokyo," Hilton said. "The shopping is great."
Hilton has promised to try improving her bad-girl image since she finished a jail term this June for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. She had announced plans to do charity work in Rwanda this month for the Playing for Good Foundation, but later decided to postpone the trip.
Her appearance at a Tokyo fashion boutique to judge the contest packed the room with photographers and TV cameras. Gawking bystanders lined the street outside.

Paris Hilton and Sister Nicky Sell Some More Stuff
I have to say that save for the occasional cardboard cut-out attack, Paris Hilton seems to be keeping a relatively low profile these days. And her sister, Nicky, really does appear to be coming into her own, with one successful fashion event after another. The sisters recently combined their powers to promote their line of handbags that they're designing for designer Samantha Thavasa at an event in Tokyo. And I wish I knew who this wackily-dressed, emphatic-looking individual was in the top hat and sunglasses bookended by the two Hiltons--for all I know, it could be the designer herself. In any case, the two sisters look happy to be doing something constructive together that doesn't involve a table-top. And really, I'm talking about Paris mostly, because Nicky seems to have her shit together these days. Maybe she's rubbing off on her usually less sensible sister. Let's hope not too much. I'm thinking Paris has at least a few more years of ridiculousness in her. If not, I might have to actually consider getting a real job.
Paris Hilton to Get Lindsay Lohan's Sloppy Seconds
Lindsay Lohan made a smart move by pulling out as host of a Las Vegas New Year's bash, considering she is fresh out of rehab and looking to stay on the clean and sober track.
But it was also a lucrative move for Paris Hilton, who has jumped into Lindsay's spot as hostess with the most-ess at Vegas's LAX, for a cool million bucks. Also on the bill, Paris's not-quite-as-obvious sister, Nicky Hilton, who will ring in 2008 alongside her sis.
This is just how Paris rolls -- she gets paid to be seen. The heiress reportedly earned more than $2 million just for sitting in the front row at designer Kira Plastinina's fashion show in Russia on Monday.
Don't you wish that was all you had to do to make some cash? Anyway, gotta run, the people at Stop and Shop in Aberdeen, NJ are paying me to walk up and down the aisles.

Paris Hilton Sued for 'Billions'
This might be the funniest thing I've heard in at least a week (that Kid Rock Waffle House debacle still takes the top spot --for now).
Some crazy lady is suing Paris Hilton for allegedly stealing her style! Really! CelebTV.com first obtained the court documents, regarding a personal complaint filed by Nicolle O'Neill, who claims she suffers "emotional distress" because of Paris and swears the heiress has stolen her style, including fashion-related "patens" [sic] and "stiling" [sic] tips.
That's right. There are a full two pages of handwritten, ridiculous documents that detail specific charges against Paris, including a claim that Par stole Nicole's brilliant idea to expose her "je-streeng underware (bikiny)" [sic] beneath her jeans and her idea to shop in vintage stores for '60s-style dresses. Because Nicole thought of those all by herself. Yes, she did.
Paris's "victim" is seeking "billions" in damages.

Paris Hilton side-swiped
Heiress Paris Hilton's car has been hit by an over-zealous photographer in Los Angeles.
Celebrity website TMZ.com reports that Hilton's black Cadillac Escalade was side-swiped by a paparazzo trying to get a good shot of the heiress.
Hilton wasn't behind the wheel at the time.

Paris Hilton allegedly rolled up on a Toronto adult video store on Wednesday afternoon and started tearing shit up. Paris was enraged because they were displaying a poster for "One Night In Paris", her sex tape with Pamela Anderson's husband Rick Saloman. She was said to have been dressed like she was trick or treating early (emphasis on trick) in a skeleton costume. What? This is a wack story.
CTV News was allowed to view the incident captured on surveillance video.
"You guys can't use my image in a porn store," a woman said to be Hilton was heard saying. "I'm going to call my lawyer and sue the (expletive) out of this place."
A woman is seen in the video tearing down several posters in the store.
"I really want them down because they're mean and this is not right. I'm really serious, this is disgusting," she says.
"And I want the other ones too or I'm calling the (expletive) cops."
About a half-hour after Hagatha left, a man came in claiming to be her manager and told the store employees that they had better keep quiet about the incident or risk being sued for "defamation of character". What? What is going on? Here's a lesson, Paris - don't f*ck on camera and you won't have to terrorize dirty video stores in disguise. And get a more original Halloween costume! Fer chrissakes, I saw a guy dressed as "Tron" last night. Slut celebrity heiresses have GOT do do better.

Rwanda: Aegis Trust Takes Over Paris Hilton Trip
Following the collapse of an earlier planned trip by Hotel heiress Paris Hilton to Rwanda, UK-based Aegis Trust announced on Friday that it has stepped in to rescue the visit.
The heiress's original plans with the 'Playing for Good' charity were sunk after a restructuring of the organization led to cancellation. The organization said the much hyped trip would be moved to a later date.
Now she has been invited by Aegis to see first hand the suffering caused by the 1994 genocide, which saw one million Tutsi and moderate Hutus murdered in 1994, the joint statement from Kigali Memorial Center and the British organization said.
The Kigali Memorial Centre is modeled in approach on the UK Holocaust Centre, where Aegis is based. Aegis works in Rwanda to provide dignified remembrance for the victims of genocide, support for survivors and education to help prevent future acts of genocide.
"We decided to invite her as her previous arrangements to visit had fallen through", Mr. Craig Cowbrough from Aegis told RNA in separate interview.
He added: "Our reasoning being that it is important that as many high profile people as possible should come and learn from Rwanda's experience to help avoid similar catastrophes elsewhere and also to educate the wider world about how the country has changed since 1994 and what some of the issues are that still need to be resolved."
Earlier this month, the millionaire hotel heiress turned TV personality said in an interview in Newsweek magazine that she hoped to shed her party-girl image and leave a mark on the world. The Rwanda trip was to be a first step on that journey.

Paris Hilton Launches 'Can Can' In Fishnet Stockings, Frilly Dress
Paris Hilton has launched her new perfume with a staggering £500,000 advertising campaign.
The hotel heiress oozes sex in a frilly dress and fishnet tights for a series of adverts to promote her latest scent, Can Can.
The name of the fragrance was inspired by a raunchy dance associated with Parisian club Moulin Rouge at the turn of the century.
Paris recently spoke of her love for her perfume, saying: "I love fragrances - this is my fifth fragrance now. As women, I think it's great just to smell nice.
"It feels good when people are always complimenting me, and I believe smell is a very signature thing - it is something you're going to remember somebody by."
'The Simple Life' star - who published her autobiography 'Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose' in 2004 - also wants to become a respected author.
Paris' literary agent Dan Strone said: "She is thinking of doing a new book. I don't believe at this time it's going to be a prison diary. I don't think that's the direction she's heading in."
The 26-year-old - who recently spent 23 days behind bars for driving with a suspended licence - has already tried her hand at modelling, acting, singing and fashion designing.

So that's what Paris Hilton has been doing since she got out of jail
So that's what Paris Hilton has been doing since she got out of jail.
She's been so busy picking out a multitude of risque Halloween costumes that she hasn't been able to follow through on her much-publicized promise to Larry King to use her celebrity for good work.
In the past week, Hilton has been photographed in no fewer than four different costumes: a naughty sailor and Alice in Wonderland on Saturday and a soldier girl (to 'support the troops,' she insisted) and -- OK, I admit this is funny -- jail bait on Halloween night.
First sign you don't have enough to do: the biggest challenge of your day is to narrow down 14 short-skirted Halloween costumes to two, as one gossip Web site reported Paris had done.
Just a reminder, Paris. We'll never forget that Larry King interview.

Amy Fisher Sex Tape Online: Video Release Will Soon Be on the Web
Amy Fisher will soon be coming to a computer screen near you in all of her "glory." The Long Island Lolita sprang to infamy when she hooked up with Joey Buttafuoco and then shot his wife. The case captivated the media and observers and was turned into a movie and now we are forever stuck with her it appears.
Amy Fisher Has a New Starring Role
Amy Fisher Has a New Starring Role
Her next starring role will be a Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian style home video. For Amy's part she doesn't want the tape released but rest assured as soon as it is available it will be placed online. America loves notorious and that's Amy. She says disgusted by the whole thing but surely women know by now if you allow it to be filmed and you are even the slightest bit famous it will see the World Wide Web.

It will be titled "Amy Fisher Caught on Tape" and was filmed by her husband Lou Bellera, who then sold the tape while the couple was split up. David Krieff, a TV executive who has produced reunion specials with Fisher, her ex-lover Joey Buttafuoco and Buttafuoco's ex-wife, Mary Jo Buttafuoco told the New York Post: "I was told she was a willing participant at the time it was made, as a private video with her husband," Krieff said.
She's disgusted," Krieff said. "I'm disgusted by it, too, the whole genre. I can't believe in the United States of America things like this can be released. The DVD will cost about sixty bucks and is sixty minutes long a press release notes.

Hilton Lands $1 Million for Lohan's New Year's Eve Bash
PARIS HILTON has replaced former pal LINDSAY LOHAN as Las Vegas nightclub LAX's New Year's Eve good time girl - for a whopping $1 million (£500,000).
The socialite will end a tough year, which saw her spending time behind bars, and ring in 2008 with sister Nicky.
And sources tell In Touch Weekly the 26-year-old heiress is being offered a cool $1 million to play hostess.
Being paid to show her face is nothing new to Hilton - she reportedly earned more than $2 million (£1 million) just for sitting in the front row at designer Kira Plastinina's fashion show in Russia on Monday (29Oct07).
One insider tells In Touch, "Paris is receiving the biggest payday ever for a one-night appearance in Vegas. Nobody draws a crowd like she does." Lohan was initially billed to host the LAX party, but she pulled out earlier this week (beg29Oct07) citing post-rehab sobriety concerns.
